It's been a while since we posted here and we thought it would be a fab place to introduce the latest generation of Anti-bullying Ambassadors! We want to re-vamp and update the website, create events to help everyone understand what bullying is and the hurt it causes, create platforms for people to report bullying and grow our social group, to support those who are being bullied.
We all decided to be Anti-bullying Ambassadors because we believe there should be zero tolerance to bullying at Appleton Academy. We all applied to be on the team by writing a letter of application on why we wanted to be Anti-bullying Ambassadors. Miss Bottomley said she was very impressed by our letters and could see how passionate we are about beating bullying.
Since our group formed, we have created displays, assemblies, a social group which runs every Monday lunchtime on a Week A. We also went into forms to tell the rest of the class what it meant to be an Anti-bullying Ambassador and what Appleton's policy on bullying is. It really helped our social group grow as people have found us since, to ask how they can join us.
Miss Bottomley held a coffee afternoon for parents, to show them the website and how they can report bullying from home, as well as the policies and what we want to build on this year! We hope to hold more events to raise awareness about bullying, so keep checking back here for any updates.
That's all for now - Appleton Academies Anti-bullying Ambassadors!
